Franco arrived at The Open Barn Animal Sanctuary because his mother rejected him. Emily and her colleagues at the facility admitted how heartbreaking it was to think about Franco being alone, so they all agreed to help the baby goat.
Emily shared that she and her coworkers did not hesitate to jump at the opportunity to offer Franco a place at their facility because they knew he could use a loving home. Franco immediately even slept on top of her during his first couple of nights because he felt so alone.
Emily said that Franco also loved going along for long walks so much that he would hop on all his four legs in excitement. In addition, everybody at the facility found him adorable because of how happy-go-lucky he is whenever he is outside.
Emily recalled that shortly after having Franco, one of her coworkers found a stray dog named Takoda near the facility. Everyone agreed to adopt him and make him a part of their little sanctuary when they saw that he could also use a home.
Emily and her colleagues introduced their newly adopted dog to Franco, and it took a while before the baby goat warmed up to Takoda. Franco was defensive and always made headbutt motions each time Takoda initiates playtime, but he eventually realized that Takoda was a friend.
Takoda and Franco eventually began chasing one another around the facility and playing with each other. Franco became so much more outgoing, confident, and cheeky after his four-legged best friend came into his life.
Emily shared that not only does Franco knows his name, but he also recognizes and gets excited whenever he hears Takoda’s too. Franco would even immediately perk up and start hopping around as soon as he hears anyone calling Takoda’s name as if there was no tomorrow.
