An Australian Shepherd mix named Georgia did not have a happy past as she was abandoned by her previous owner and she was found at a gas station. At that time, she was pregnant and in bad shape. She needed to be rushed to the nearest vet clinic to save her and her puppy. Georgia underwent an emergency C-section so she could deliver her puppies safely.
Since they were born prematurely, none of them survived. Georgia was not happy with the sad news and it left her heartbroken as she could not understand where her puppies went. Executive Director of Sunshine Dog Rescue Anita Osa felt worried about Georgia everytime she saw her tear through the bed sheets to search for her puppies. She thought about seeking help from people by posting on Facebook if someone knew of puppies who are in need of a mother.
She did not expect what was going to happen next because instead of puppies, she ended up getting three homeless kittens. Osa admitted that she was not a cat lover but she was willing to give it a shot. At first, she was unsure of Georgia’s reaction but as soon as the loving dog saw the kittens, she instantly fell in love with their cuteness. They instantly bonded with each other and Georgia also became protective over the orphaned kittens.
Georgia, despite losing her puppies felt happy again. Even though she had low milk production, she still allowed her adopted kittens to nurse on her. The adorable dog was so nurturing to the kittens that they grew up to be healthy and cheerful. Osa was glad that the plan became successful.
Even though the kittens are still on the road to recovery, Osa is confident that they will grow strong. Georgia also found a new dad and was renamed Milo. As for her kittens, Osa adopted one of them and Georgia kept the rest of her babies.
