Ryker, a Husky, was once a handsome and alluring dog. But because of his owners’ neglect, he got sick and his skin started to itch. And before long, he was almost completely bald and his skin was covered with scabs.
The dog’s owners eventually took him to the vet but not to get him treated. They brought him to the clinic to be euthanized because he was no longer useful to them. He no longer had any worth so they thought of simply putting him down.
Luckily for Ryker, Hillary of the nonprofit animal rescue group Friends of Faye stepped in and pulled him away from death’s door. She was astonished when she saw how bad his condition was. But she was also delighted to know that despite his poor health, he remained to be a happy and affectionate dog.
Ryker smiled and wagged his tail all the time. He was overjoyed to be alive and his spirits were constantly at their peak. His positive outlook in life was why he kept breathing and it’s the same reason that he recovered faster than expected.
As the dog recuperated, he also transformed emotionally and socially. He figured out toys. He got obsessed with them that he had to have one wherever he went. And then, he discovered his voice and became so vocal that he never stopped talking since then.
Soon, Ryker was ready for his new family, so Hillary started accepting adoption applications for him. A lot of people offered him their homes and they were so eager to give him a beautiful life. But by the end of it all, only one lucky family can have him.
Spouses Mike and Donna were so excited to meet the newest addition to their family so Hillary took the liberty of driving for 27 hours to get Ryker to them. They loved him since the day he was rescued and they waited until he was ready and healthy to be with them.
Ryker has always been a happy dog, but his joy now overflows because he has a home, his mom and dad, and his new Husky brother Dallas. At last, his life is complete.
