Mandy Leung met her beloved Husky named Mackenzie when the dog was only ten-week-old. During that time, the dog is already experiencing problems with her vision.
Mandy tried to save Mackenzie’s eyesight. But unfortunately, the condition worsened and developed into glaucoma. Saddened to see her dog in pain, she decided that removing the dog’s eyes will lessen the suffering.
Mackenzie had a tough transition during her recovery period from the surgery. Luckily, her fur momma is there to help her adapt to her new life. The dog used her nose to sniff around any environment that Mandy would take her. Despite being blind, the dog enjoys exploring new places, especially if there is snow.
Snow would be the one thing that this cute Husky loves most. She gets extra excited whenever she senses that there is snow outside. Mackenzie loves the fresh snowfall. She runs around the porch stairs as if she can see. On some days, she spends hours playing in their snow-covered yard.
Delighted to see her dog happy, Mandy captured this beautiful scene and shared it on her Instagram page.

Mackenzie’s journey in adapting to the situation spreads positivity. Mandy is a proud mom because her dog showed courage and did not wallow in sadness.
Mackenzie also inspired her littermate named Zorro, who happened to have the same health condition. It also caused the latter to have his eyes removed. But all thanks to Mackenzie, Zorro is also able to adapt well to his condition. These two adorable dogs would always meet for their playdates. They are like twins sticking by each other’s side.
Right now, Mackenzie lives at her best. Life might not be easy, but together with her littermate, she will continue to inspire others and do her favorite thing, running and playing in the snow.
