It is an understatement when we say kids love dogs. This 11-year-old boy named Evan Bisnauth is one of the many kids who love dogs. However, he takes his love for dogs to a whole new level.
Evan is no stranger to the situation of many dogs at animal shelters. The young kid knows that several dogs are waiting for them to get adopted. With this dilemma, Evan made it his mission to help shelter dogs to the best of his ability.
The kid’s inkling in helping dogs began after he volunteered to read to shelter dogs. After his initial interaction with shelter dogs, Evan realized that he could use his talent to help these dogs find new homes.
Evan has a knack for creating videos, and through his talent, the young boy wants to narrate the story of shelter dogs. It was during the series of lockdowns that Evan began creating videos of these dogs.
The young kid created a Facebook page he named EB and the Pets. This is where Evan posts the videos he created in an attempt to reach a wider audience. While Evan wants to help as many dogs as possible, his priority is those at greater risk.
Dogs at risk include those who are already old and with other illnesses. According to Evan, he is doing this to educate people that shelter dogs are not bad dogs. The boy likewise wants other people to know that it is better to adopt than buy dogs.
With his generosity, Evan became instrumental in the adoption of many shelter dogs. Meanwhile, several dog advocates got so impressed by Evan’s dedication to helping dogs.
The kid’s dedication earned him the award of 2021 ASPCA’s Kid of the Year. Although happy with the accolade, Evan said he is doing this not for awards, but for helping dogs.
